I have not heard the DCA 4's in a Ziggie before, but I have heard them in Akhilesh's PAWO enclosures. They had good definition and a remarkable depth to them. The bass was decent as well, but definitely needed to be augmented with a sub and xover if playing anything remotely loud. I am thinking of just using them as background music while reading or studying.

hi erik,

if you are to use the zigma hornet then you need a sub but for my case i don't , my dca 4" are in a non fold horn (consider big) , the dca 4" sound better than the jordan JX 92 but you can't play them that loud, very natural sounding driver with 91dB, i play them with SE 2a3, SE double darling, 832 PP 6 watts and charlize T amp 10 watts

how loud? i will be using a fisher 500c, roughly 35 watts per side. i have other speakers for 'loud' and plan on using the zigmas for acoustic bluegrass and the like. sounds like they will do that nicely? thanks much.

you plan to use 2 pair of dca 4" ? more than enough for me , i think they are loud enough for u as well, 35 watts is too much for me , as the speaker is 91 dB, i am sure you will love them.

it is very funny that many people are not interested in these drivers, all i can say is they are wrong , dave really has made it right for this wonderful small driver, we should thanks to him, and wish him well in his health

I have a pair of dca4's and am curious if anyone knows the specs on these. I am considering a BIB for them but don't have any of the specs.

Zeno, do you have some pics of your Darling amp and speakers? I'm in the process of finishing up my amp and am always curious about how people laid out their parts and the wiring details.
