I have alot of pictures from Japanese HiFi shops that I have saved onto a disc. I was going to post them but I can`t seem to figure out how. If anyone could help me out here I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I had a really hard time figuring out my pics until I went to a site called Imageshack. It's free to host a limited number of photos and if I could get it to work anyone can. Just look it up on the net and they explain it all to you.

Hi Dan,

To post images, you'll need to transfer your photo image files up to a web server, and then embed a link in a post here. So it's kind of a two step process. Most service providers give a little bit of web space with the dial-up, DSL and cable modem accounts, so check with your service provider to see if you have any space and what to do to upload files. It's usually a pretty simple process using FTP, and there are windows-based FTP programs that make the transfer as easy as drag-and-drop in Windows.

If you don't have any space on you account, do a search on the internet for free image hosts, and you'll find tons of them. J.R. (Manualblock) sugegsted Imageshack, and that's an example of a free image host that you might want to try.

After you upload you pictures onto a web server, then you'll want to use them in your forum posts. You will need to know the name of each image, which is easy to find when you are looking at the file on the internet. After uploading the image, view it on the internet and right click it. Select "Properties" and make notice of the "Address (URL)" field. Sometimes it's long and cryptic, you you may want to select it with your mouse and copy the text. Paste this into the field in the forums "Optional Image URL" field, and the image will be displayed at the top of your post. You might do a "preview message" before you post to see if you've done everything right. If so, the image will appear in your preview.

You can also display several images in your posts, by embedding HTML tags in it. There is more information about HTML tags in the posts called "Help with identification - Emerson," which shows how to embed image files in posts and "HTML Tags," which shows how to italicize and make bold text.
