I have a Sony amplifier model STR-D10115 and 1971 Klispch Heresy speakers (4 Ohm). Can I use this amp and speaker combination or will this damage them? Most speakers are 8 ohm and I seem to remember that 4 ohm speakers have to have a compatible amp. HELP!!!
Thanks

Most amps can handle a 4Ω load. It will develop more power at a lower drive voltage, so it may run out of current capacity with the volume knob at a lower setting. If this happens, it may sound distorted or even kick in a protection circuit. Just don't turn it up to the point of distortion and I think you'll be fine.
