Are any of you using hard disk recorders? Professionals mix on them all the time and it seems like it would make its way into the hifi scene.

I agree completely. Video is already using them, and it takes a lot more bandwidth and space to work with video. Pro audio is already onto it, home theater and hifi can't be far behind.
