Hi my friends it's nice to meet you!
I wonder if someone has both these decks. I have V-8030s I baught it new
in 1999. In fact my favourite brand wasn't TEAC ..it was AIWA but in 1999
you couldn't find a brand new AIWA in stores like Excelia 9000 or 7000.
So i decided to go on TEAC 8030 , it's a nice deck with heavy built and excelent acoustic but there is something very disapointing about the accuracy of the counter. If you set a point it's very difficult for the deck to reach it 100% . Of course in the display it may say that the point is reached, but in the reallity the tape is not in the marked point.
Does 8000 do this ?
I just want to know if this is an original manufacturer malfunction Or is because the 8030 is made in Taiwan instead of 8000 that is made in Japan!

Thank you.
