Hi I've just bought an SL BD22 turntable which I've connected to my Technics amplifier. The first turntable I had connected via wires to the turntable and was fine. However the SL BD22 has a ground wire connection which it says to connect to the GND connection on my amp. I've done all this and connected the red and white leads, but the turntable will not turn and the stroboscope will not light up. Any ideas on solving this problem? PS I've checked plugs and belt on turntable

Sorry for the silly question, but did you plug it in to main power? The turntable requires power, not just a connection to the amp.

Sounds like it might have blown the fuse.

Are you sure it's wired for the right mains voltage level? Check that, and the fuse.
