I just got a "working" turntable on ebay. I put the belt around the spindle and then could not get the motor to turn. Is there anything I can try before trying to get a refund? Thanks!

Does the platter spin freely? If so, the motor should have no trouble turning it when the belt is installed properly. Check the platter and double check you have the belt on right.
