Hi there.

I've got an old Technics Quartz SL-Q30 it was everything OK until it started reading the records to fast! Really too fast! It look's like it's going to explode!

And the "arm" is also crazy, starts moving to fast...

Can anyone help me please? I know I could ask someone to fix it but does anyone has an idea of what's going on with my turntable?

Thanks

Sounds like the servo feedback circuits fried.

What's that?

And what can I do by myself?

If I can't do it by myself, is it too expensive to fix it?

Not worth fixing. Toss it and get another one. You can find those Technics tables in perfect condition all over the place for $50-200.

I understand. Hey, sentiment is a very good reason to keep it running. It will probably cost as much to fix as it would to replace but your dad gave it to you.
