After many months of work and waiting, my Rek-O-Kut with Infinity Black Widow/Grado Blue is finally finished! Here's a link to some pics.

Wow! That looks awesome, Dave! Is the aluminum plate mounted on rubber or it is firmly attached to the base?

Wayne,

As an experiment, I removed the rubber weatherstripping completely and screwed down the chassis to the plinth directly. Using a stethoscope, there is a very noticeable drop in noise, from quiet to very quiet.I'm going to leave it this way.

Very interesting. It's almost like mechanical grounding verses floating, isolated. Interesting.

That looks great.

Is the plinth contacting the plate around the bearing? Was it difficult to adjust the levels of the plinth to the different thicknesses of the Rek-O-Kut plate?

What kind of record mat are you using?
