I just got a marantz old turntable (from the 80s) in very good shape.
Only problem is that is playing backwads and very fast (at least x4 faster then is should). Do you know why? it was lacking the power cord, but i manage to get another one 12V which fits perfectly.

I wonder if the wrong speed could be because it's not got the right voltage? Sometimes different voltage adapters have the same plugs.

Also, do you think it could be going backwards because the polarity's reversed?
