Now I have people calling me! The wonderful elderly lady I got the 5000+ albums from gave my name to one of her neighbors. The neighbor called me and sounds like she's got some really nice old 78s. I'm picking them up after the ice storm clears out. I'll keep you posted......C

I've picked up about 850 since the first massive haul, for a total of about 6000. Ask my wife and you'll hear some profanity about how many are sitting downstairs. Waiting on a call about more 78s.....C
Great score! About 30 years ago my fathers' uncle died, and I went with him to clean out his uncles house. There were over 300 78's. I relize there are not too many people that would be interested in these now, but the interesting part of this story is that several of the albums were of a young singer who was recording with the Tommy James and Glenn Miller Bands in the early 40's. He name was Doris Kepplehoff. Some here may remember her as Doris Day.

Went to an auction last week. Picked up a Capt. Glenn Miller 78rpm box set put out by the USO. This along with about 500 other records cost be about $30. The auctioneer was griping about how little 78s go for these days. He was saying not too long ago they were bringing about $2-3 per disc. I'll have to post pictures, as soon as I retrieve my digital camera.....C
