I bet this will be an unpopular opinion, but I've tried for years to get on the bandwagon, since AirPods are supposed to pair nicely with my iPhone.  However, they constantly get disconnected and have to be paired again, their noise cancellation abilities are laughable, and they're uncomfortable to wear.  The worst bit is that audio tones sound muddled rather than crisp.  Music has no warmth or nuance.  I think it's time to admit that these don't work and to find a different set of wireless earbuds.  Hopefully there's something better out there.

I'm sort of anachronistic towards popular technology. Everyone seems to have their ears plugged up with some sort of device these days. And looking down at their smart phones. Personally, I like the solitude of the surroundings. I can conger up music in my mind if I want. I don't need to be ensconced with social media. I can wait till I fire up the laptop.
So.. I just don't get it. But, just different strokes. Besides, I have tinnitus also.

I've never used AirPods, but it does not surprise me that they aren't the highest quality. Personally, I've been using the TOZO T6 earbuds for a long time. I'm not very impressed with the fit, but they have a great, high-quality sound in my opinion.

Hi, You won't get an argument from me.   I normally use full ear coverage Audio Technicas but when I must use something more portable It is a pair of wired Sennheisers. No noise cancellation, no mic, just ear pieces.  Rather nice sound and because they fit well tend to reduce outside noise as well. I have long considered the Airpods a weak link in the Apple gear.  Overpriced and under performing.

Good Listening
