Given a heads up by my sister and using their sign in to Sling to watch, (with too many damn commercials), The Old Man on the FX channel. Pretty good thriller series with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. Essentially a former special OP's specialist, (Bridges) is forced out of retirement and on the run by ne'er-do-wells to settle old scores. Lithgow is another geezer who worked with Bridges in the past now trying to capture him.
Too many geezer honcho movies and series have depicted them as having such almost super hero abilities to dispatch their foes. Bridges gets the crap beat out of him as he yet still has the wheezing skills and a couple of faithful hounds to finally vanquish the young Turks trying to capture or kill him.
Lots of layered intrigue as to why this is happening after decades of being buried history. Now I gotta find out.

It's also on FX and Hulu, for those that don't have Sling. It's worth watching. John Lithgow stole the show, in my opinion. I normally see him as a comedian, so I was surprised that he pulled it off. Thankfully, the show's been renewed for another season. I tend to have bad luck when it comes to new shows. If I like it, you can bet that it won't get renewed, so this was a pleasant change.

So, how do you like Sling, Rusty? My cable bill is going up again, so I'm considering switching to something else. I know I don't want to go with Dish. The service was awful out here when I used them a few years ago. It went out every time it stormed.

I wouldn't pay for Sling or any other of the subscription services. Had I not a relative who subscribes to it I wouldn't be able to see that Old Man, or Better Call Saul that I like. I'm an airhead. TV that is, maybe?

Porter if you haven't seen the movie Buckaroo Banzai you'll be treated to a young John Lithgow steal the show again as the totally over the top professor Lizardo. The 1st person on earth to penetrate the 8th dimension.

Thanks for sharing, Rusty. Nice clip! There's nothing on tonight, so it's a good time to settle in and check out the full movie. I found it free on Pluto TV.

I don't know what happen to, The Old Man. Maybe he just pooped out. But, the damn thing just ended leaving you hanging what was to happen next. What is it with these streaming outfits and some level of continuity? There has to be more in the can to complete this drama other than where they left off. Hopefully, the Old Man has some stamina. Take some multi vitamins, some Viagra and some Preparation H and get-r-done old man.
