I'm updating my 3Pi to 6Pi speakers and at the moment the bass bins are under construction.
I was looking for inspiration and found an old build picture. where the back bracing was left "open" as opposed to the "closed" version in the plans.

Picture attached for clarification. Is this ok, will it change how they sound? I like the look of it!

No problem doing that at all. The rear panels are mostly used as a positioning device.
