Is there a way to rig up a decibel counter into your speaker? And from there, an LED readout on the speaker so you can always keep track of the decibel output?

I've never seen such a device...

I use a free app on an iPhone.
I hold it by my face if I'm curious to see what decibel level I am being exposed to. I am not expecting it to be incredibly accurate but more a rough idea...

An SPL meter with a digital readout is good enough as well. Sometimes when I'm waiting on a train, I'll turn my app on and stick the phone out the window just to see.

If you don't know......trains are loud. LOL
