I am pleased to announce that Pi Speakers now has flat-pack kits!
We have flat pack kits for one π, two π, three π and four π models, as well as the three π subwoofer.

We also have the midhorn available as a flat-pack kit and have for many years. It's in the "Parts And Options" section of the shopping cart.

Each flat-pack kit contains pre-cut parts to build one loudspeaker cabinet. So if you want a stereo pair, order two. If you order two kits, we'll assume you want a mirror-image pair, and will ship one cabinet with the port on the left and one with the port on the right.

If you only order one speaker, please mention the desired port side in the notes section of the order. If you order three speakers and want the center channel sans-port with waveguide centered, mention that in the notes. We can do that too. But don't do a port delete on a stereo pair. They work best vented as designed, and only a center channel should be considered to be run sealed when it is used with vented right and left mains.

If you want to veneer the cabinet, apply the veneer after assembling the cabinet with the MDF panels. That ensures best quality. We considered offering veneered panels as an option, but the edge quality is better if the cabinet is completed before applying the veneer.

Hi Wayne,

Are the Four Pi flat packs MDF or another kind of wood?

Happy Father's Day!

Thanks,
Alex

The flat packs are made of MDF.

Does the flat pack come with a board to mount the crossover on or does the PCB mount directly to the cabinet with standoffs? What is the recommended way?

Any updates planned for the Pi 4 or anything come down the pike? Very Happy

I like to mount the crossover board directly on the bottom cabinet panel with a gasket underneath:
