Some years ago NAD (New Acoustic Dimension) were thought to make some of the best amplifiers - certainly for a mid range sort of price. If you were putting together a system with components would you have a NAD amplifier?

I know that since their beginnings in London they have now been bought out and relocated to Canada. Also, they now outsource the manufacture of a lot of their components. Do they still have the reputation they once had?

I would consider NAD to be a high-quality budget brand, sort of the high-end for retail. I've owned NAD equipment and found it to be well built and good sounding. So I guess I'd say I wouldn't "rave" about NAD but I wouldn't retch about them either.
