Quick question for you guys. Before we moved our piano used to sound great, but after the move, it's sounding really horrible, and I'm wondering, could the move have damaged it somehow or is it the room that it's in which is changing the way it sounds?

It sounds like a tuning is in order. Probably the moving caused some slight changes in the frame and de-tuned some strings. Also it might have been subject to either high humidity or temperature. Either can cause a paino to get de-tuned.
A friend once talked about how the climate played more role in changing the piano's sound than the move itself. A different humidity and temperature changed the strings' tension. It may not happen right away, but when it does, you have no other choice but to re-tune the piano.
As with any other problem, the cause of the problem might be different, so we need to isolate the real cause and we can determine the right solution. Tuning the piano is an immediate solution for this, but the room or the humidity of the place can also affect the sound quality of the piano.
Moving a piano can be difficult. It is heavy and bulky, but also very sensitive to a few vaiables like the ones mentioned here. I'm typically a fan of doing everything yourself involved in moving, but in cases like this I would recommend a professional moving company.
