I'm in the middle of reading a very interesting article which mentions Direct Current burn. The explanation they give is a little hard for me to understand. Can anyone else here explain it to me so that I get it? Thanks.

Current passing through the resistance of body tissues causes heat.

When there is enough heat, a burn is caused.
If you want to test the teory, use AC. It's not as strong.
I don't recommend it though. Just know that heat from fire and heat from a DC current has the same effect. It hurts.
