I was saddened to hear that Ray Thomas died on Thursday. he was the flutist for the Moody Blues, which is one of my favorite bands.

I have been to several Moody Blues concerts, so I've seen him perform. But by the 2000s, he wasn't touring with them anymore due to prostate cancer. So the last time I saw them, another flutist had stepped in. She was a good performer, but I still missed seeing Ray Thomas. He was a big part of the Moodies.

Bummer.

Lots of great rock legends from the 60's/70's have passed in the last few years.
