A lot of people take advice from others who know little to nothing about room treatments and end up doing things that make no difference to their sound quality. What are some of the treatments that you know people use but they don't work?

There are a lot of audiophiles wasting time, money and energy on things like hanging heavy drapes or rugs on the walls. This makes next to no difference.

Hanging rugs on the wall is definitely one of the biggest myths out there, I think. I also know people who have tried using egg crates before - also very ineffective.

Most people will do anything to save a little money, but their worst mistake is listening to others' advice who don't know anything about room treatment.

Ugh, you guys, I'll admit that I am one of those people who have tried using the heavy drapes and rugs. I'm just glad that I bought them at estate sales for cheap or I'd really be kicking myself.
