The semi-integrated kits (meaning they need a remote) are going to be easier to set up than the fully integrated ones which, from what I hear, are pretty difficult to set up. So how easy it would be for you depends on what kind of kit you want.

Hi, There are lots of possibilities. Exactly what are you trying to convert from and what are you trying to convert to? What resolution and what format do you want the output to be in?

Thanks to both of you for the assistance. It's a REALISTIC brand UHF or maybe UVHF (hard to see) AM/FM scanning receiver. The serial number is faded to the point that I can't see it. It about thirty years old, but it worked fine until everything switched to digital.
