I have previously installed an entirely new radio and truth be told, this can be expensive. However, I have heard that there are easier and cheaper ways of converting an FM/AM radio to be able to pick digital bands. What are your suggestions?

Yes, this is possible. I think you can find these conversion kits on eBay. I haven't had an opportunity to convert an FM/AM radio and even then, I wouldn't think of installing a new radio. Where would the old one end up in?

I'm confused. Do you convert the FM/AM radio you have in your vehicle, or do you buy a new one to convert?

Excuse the play on words, but I'm getting mixed signals here.
