I have a shot at a fairly priced Isolation transformer for the line voltage to the Linn. Supposedly it smooths the motor and offers better transients and detail. I'll know soon enough.
Any experience with this set-up on turntables?

Will do. Another topic I would enjoy is this; is there a set of individuals who tend to favor older vintage carts over the newer stuff?
Older would include such pieces as; Fidelity Research/Denon/EMT/Empire/Shelter, etc. I use these examples due to their realitively affordable price range.
MM; might include Shure/Stanton/Ortofon/AT.( Not a big Grado fan.)
