I know that I am not the only one who doesn't go through the warranty document thoroughly at first or ask questions when purchasing an electronic item. Just out curiousity, does the lens get replaced if it gets damaged within the warranty period?

Well, I'm not sure if you're asking about sunglasses, projectors, cameras, or t.v. screens, but in my experience lenses fall under the general wear and tear category so they are usually excluded. Some warranties will specify differently though, and it largely depends on the brand. I wish I had a more thorough answer for you.

I would assume that you mean the DVD lens? It is true that this is generally classified under wear and tear but what if it stopped working immediately after purchase? It is good to thoroughly go through the warranty document.
