Do the acoustics of a room make a difference in the quality of anything that is recorded in that room, for instance, a video from a phone?

I totally agree with Wayne. Acoustics will definitely affect the recording quality, but recording closer to your source (mic, phone, etc.) will definitely minimize this affect. Also, it depends on how empty the room is too.
