Do you have a favorite artist who has done this? Like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith doing a country album.

Did you find it annoying, or refreshing that they did something different?

Thankfully, I've never heard any of these country songs by Steven Tyler. I can't imagine him doing anything other than what he has already done. I honestly don't think anyone that I listen to has switched their genre of music over the years. I'm sure some of them would do okay though if they did.

If an artiste is my favorite, the reason has to be because of their music genre. I think I'd stick with such an artiste if they were really good at what they do. Change is inevitable after all.
