Please someone help me understand if there will be compatibility issues using home audio with pro audio equipment. I'm considering setting up a system with both but wouldn't want some expensive losses on my hands.
Thanks for the reply, Wayne. I've heard conflicting opinions about combining the two and am more than a little worried, hence my question. Will the difference in preamp levels cause big problems?

Some prosound amps have switchable input levels. It's usually an internal switch, or sometimes on the back panel. If your amp has one, then you can set it to 0.775v and use it with commercial preamps. If not, then the volume level would be too low.
Also make sure you have unbalanced inputs on the pro amp, because most commercial gear runs unbalanced signals through RCA connectors.
Thank you, Wayne! I've checked the equipment and you're right about the internal switch being on the back panel. I've done the setting for the amp and will be assembling everything soon. I really appreciate the help.
