The concert that I recently went to had a lot of different lighting. It looked really awesome with the smoke machine going, but where I ended up standing I kept getting blinded most of the night. Do you think that sometimes they get carried away with all of the lighting during a show?

It is true that they do carried away at times but I realized that the best way to be at a concert is at the very front. You experience every bit of the show without a distraction.

I can see your point, but I think it could also depend on the size of the venue. At an arena concert I would rather be about half way back because the crowd can be half of the entertainment, and then you have the big screen they show of the act on stage.

Most times, they actually get carried away but I think a well organized concert will have someone ensuring that there isn't too much of something. Like Kingfish, I prefer to be halfway back.

I have been to a concert where everything was perfectly pitched except for the lighting. I was seated not far away from the stage but the show was dull. It is understandable that putting together a concert isn't easy but you cannot go wrong especially with sound and lighting.
