Should you use different speakers for different music? If I like Bach and Beethoven, would I look for a different type of speaker than if I liked Motley Crue and Metalhead?

A good speaker should be able to reproduce any content.

Lesser speakers, less so.

I agree with this. A great speaker would be able to hold the range of any type of musical instrument and vocal tone. I'm sure it's not going to be cheap, but you do get what you pay for.

This is a good way to look at it but I believe any speaker should serve every other purpose.

I would suggest purchasing a speaker that is worth the price.
