Yes, I'm showing my age a little. I grew up listening to Prince and Michael Jackson. I was surprised to hear about the passing of Prince. What an icon! I can't believe all the places that turned their lights purple to honor Prince.
Prince was never really my scene, but I loved Purple Rain when it came out. I just can't say no to a good love song. I also liked that he pushed convention with his overt sexual innuendo's on stage. When an artist pushes convention, I pay attention.
Such a shame, he was a really good artist for the genre he was in.
He did show his class in his later years and with all of his fame and fortune, he chose to stay in Minneapolis. He sounds like he was a good guy underneath all that pomp and circumstance.
