Years ago I had a portable CD/DVD player. I really loved it because it was a good companion during travels. I could kill some time by playing music CD or movies. Now I'm looking for a new player, but I can't even remember the name of that old player I used to have. Do you have recommendations for a good but not-so-expensive CD/DVD player? Especially one with good speakers because voice really matters to me.

Sylvania makes a really great portable CD/DVD player that comes in many different colors. It does have a built in speaker in the unit, but if you don't like the way it sounds you can always just use headphones instead.

I have heard positive comments about Sylvania DVD player. Few complained about the short battery life, though. My cousins own a DBPower portable DVD player. It's quite small and light but durable. Battery life is not much different from Sylvania but it's pretty great.
