What's your favorite decade for music? I was listening to some playlists organized by decade recently and I think my favorite is the 70's. I took it as far back as the 50's and still liked a lot of what I listened to, though.

I think mine would have to be the 80's with the 70's following a close second. My favorite genre is metal and the 80's were really big for metal bands. I like 90's alternative a lot, too.

I grew up in the 90's so I guess I would say that is my favorite decade for music. I think it really goes back to what decade you were a teenager in. I think it helps bring back memories.

I really like the music of the sixties. The Beatles are one of my favorite groups and this was their era. Plus, who can forget all of that psychedelic rock?

I really like Sinatra, and Dean Martin, so I will have to say my favorite is 50's era music. It really took skill to sing back then. They were not electronically altering voices, and the songs were more complex. Most music today seems to have bases in older songs .

The 50's are good, but I'm a 60's girl.
I love the Beatles, and have never heard one song from them I didn't like. There is another, unusual artist I like from that era as well.
Vashti Bunyan was an odd, folky singer. She had a voice like a lullaby.
