Why are male voices EQed to sound deeper in action flicks? They make fun of the standard in Hot Fuzz, where the guy's voice is deeper for the crazy ridiculous action sequences at the end.

I suppose it's because deeper male voices sound more "manly". You certainly can't have an action hero with anything approaching stereotypically feminine qualities after all. Rolling Eyes
