Great review, Bruce. I would expect that, of course. Smile

But what's the deal with VC Audio Labs?

Hi Wayne, Actually we try to cover that in the manufacturer's comments we added at the end of the review. VC Audio is an upscale (slightly) assembled version of the kit products. V and C are mine and Rodney's middle initials. The MB45 is the first of the line to reach production. It is nearly identical to the KT120 mono blocks. Better case, connectors and uses Jantzen Silver Z caps instead of Russian K40Y9s. To be truthful most folks would be hard pressed to tell the difference unless they had premium speakers and audio components.

I thought it was a fair review. Too bad the amps were not equipped like the prototypes to take both 6SL7s and 12SL7s. The NOS 12SL7s would likely fit better with the $200,000 speakers used to review the amps. But even though I use them and like them most folks that listened to the amps liked the 6SL7s better. C'est La Vie.

Good Listening
Bruce
