Have you noticed that Hulu service is going downhill? I think it's buffering more than it used to, even at non-peak times sometimes. It is frustrating.

I don't know if it's any more frequent than it was before, but I find it annoying too. Sometimes I'd rather just download the episode and watch it so I don't have to worry about buffering delays.

I've been having issues with Hulu for a long time now, but I thought it was just because I access Hulu through a Roku. A friend uses Hulu through his Xbox One and never has the buffering or freezing problems I have. Weird!

IloveiPod, does your friend have a different internet service provider or is everything the same otherwise? I don't know why the Xbox would be better than Roku.

No, everything is the same otherwise. We both use Comcast and both subscribe to the same plan speed-wise. You should see the Hulu app on the Xbox One, though; it's WAY different than it is on the Roku. It looks different, it runs faster, it's more stream-lined, etc. It's like a different app altogether!

Hmm, how strange that is. Are you going to buy an Xbox just to get the better speed? I don't use an Xbox or Roku myself; we have a smart TV that connects directly to Hulu and Amazon Prime.

I would not suggest this! I have an Xbox One and it's really not all it's cracked up to be. It's not a bad system -- don't get me wrong -- it's just that it's not that much better than a 360. So far I don't feel like it was worth the $500 it cost.

iLoveiPod, maybe look into getting a new Roku if you're not using the most current one that's out there.

Thanks, timron. There's no way I could afford a One right now, even with the $100 off/no Kinect deal they have. Getting a new Roku is not a bad idea, though. I think I am using the first version they ever came out with and that wouldn't be too expensive to replace.
