Have any of you seen one of the new 4K ultra HD televisions? The clarity is supposed to be outstanding and the reviews seem to be good. The downfall is the price for a 47 to 50 inch TV which comes in around $1500 for the lower end models.

I have seen a demo in a big box store and the picture is impressive.

Two key questions:

Is 4K content available?

Do you want to be an early adopter on the bleeding edge?

The 4k DVD players and TVs look to be double the cost of 1080P which is less than the difference between 480 and 1080 when HD was fist released.

I would wait till 4k content is available. The cost should drop then. Remember when there was a higher premium for Blu Ray till it became common.

I don't think I have seen them. That is a little pricey, though. I am not sure if I would pay that much.

I'm not sure what 4K is. Is it better resolution? I almost never go for new technologies immediately, since I know the price will drop considerably within a year or two.
