Hi Wayne,

I'm tempted to build the 7Pi Corner Horns.

But I wonder if the placement in my room will make the 7Pi justice.

I have to place a stereo cabinet on the front wall between the corner horns and a (closed) door near the left speaker is inevitable.

I even dare to put a coffee table in front of my sofa...

What do you think?

If the closed door doesn't vibrate, that will be fine. But I do worry the door might rattle.

I'll do my best to prevent the door from rattling.

I have seen older 7pi bass horns with a more complex structure around the port so I'm in doubt that I understand your current design right:

You've got it right. Older models used a "periscope port" but this "L-shaped port" layout is simpler. Other than that, there is no advantage or disadvantage either way - Both work the same.

Great!

I like to keep things as simple as simple as possible so I changed the bottom panel just to cover the box and removed the panels intended for the corners.

To keep the cabinet sturdy in the corner I added L-shaped profiles to be bolted to the walls.

Go or no go?
