Wayne,

I pretty much searched the forum, at least until a headache started. There are a lot of posts for "corner horns," and I'm probably reasking an old question.

Can 6π & 7π corner horns work well under less than optimum conditions? I'm considering purchasing a house that has one great corner, an unobstructed wall between the speakers, and nothing for the other corner. I'll have to build something to hopefully fit a horn there.

Now I love my 3π speakers, but as one of those guys who can't leave well enough alone... well you know.

So, how short of a sidewall can I use, and not mess up directivity? Or should I keep shopping for another house?

Yeah, that's a common problem. Honestly, if the short side has less than six feet of wall on each side, you should consider it a deal breaker.

As long as it has six feet, it will sound balanced but less than that and you'll notice it. The one with the full expansion will sound different than the one with the truncated expansion.
