Lou Reed of Velvet Underground has died. As always, it's sad to see a rock pioneer go. He was 71 years old, so he wasn't young, but it's still too bad that he didn't have more time.

It was sad to see someone who had such an impact on the industry pass away. He influenced a lot of people. At least he was able to die somewhat peacefully with his loved ones.

It is too bad that he had to go. I think his "New York" album was his best. He influenced me by way of making me see that upfront and honest words are sometimes the best way to convey a message.
