Have you used schematics for any designs from other websites besides this one? I have been looking around to get some ideas for projects. There are a few free sites out there but I don't know how trustworthy they are.

That is a pretty trustworthy site. They've been around for quite awhile and have a good reputation. Personally, I've gotten some good ideas from them in the past.

My friends sometimes use this website when they need schematics for their works:

http://www.electroschematics.com/

They like the website because most articles include video tutorials with detailed diagrams so working becomes easier.

Hi, Using posted schematics can be a challenge. You have to know what the schematic means. It is just the electrical part of a project. They don't usually provide any build tips. It is expected that anyone working from just a schematic would understand typical building methods. I run into folks fairly often that build something from a schematic and have no clue why it doesn't work like it was supposed to. When I post a project it usually has photos and text to assist in the building of it. Experienced builders can look at a schematic and envision how it has to be built. Novices unfortunately can not. Worse even the best of intentions can lead to errors in schematics. It has happened to me on occasion. That is what forums and blogs are for... posting fixes until such time as the project can get updated.

Shout out for Bruce (gofar99):

This man knows. His projects are some of the best on the internet. For any of you that don't know, and are reading on, he is the technical genius behind OddWatt audio, and he freely shares plans and advice here and elsewhere on the internet.

So look up OddWatt Audio. Check out the OddWatt Audio forum. Buy a kit or at least build one of his projects. They're great sounding amps.

Hi Wayne, Thanks for the kind words. I figure I'm just a old coot that gets lucky sometimes with my designs Rolling Eyes Yes I do like to encourage new comers and long time diyers. One of my prime goals is to get more folks into high quality audio and not have to mortgage the house in the process. And on the way gain some new skills and satisfaction from doing things yourself. BTW you are none to shabby with speaker designs. Every time I try that I end up with a lot of sawdust and something that looks like it came from the dump. I think I'll just stick to audio electronics..especially tube stuff.
