Hello. I have a couple of questions about the 8 Pi speakers.

First, does the 8 Pi need a corner to work properly ? I would have to place them fairly close to the rear wall, however I do not have corners that they could be placed in.

Second, is the 8 Pi a combination of a 2 Pi tower with the Mid horn ? Seems like I read that on the forum someplace.

I appologize if these have been asked before, but I couldn't find this information.

The eight π loudspeaker does not need to be placed in a corner, but it does work better when there. It is sort of an entry-level cornerhorn that takes the place of what used to be a five π model. Rather than having a separate bass bin and midhorn, I tried simply venting a large rear chamber for the midhorn with Alpha 10 driver, and I liked how it sounded so the eight π was born.
