How long do your speakers last? Do they stop working or do you get tired of them first?

I got my oldest set about 10 years ago, while I was in college. They were old then and they still work really well.

A good pair of speakers can last a lifetime, provided they are kept in an environmentally controlled environment. Not anything special, just a comfortable temperature and humidity. Paper cones can't be in really dry environments, but obviously, they can't be exposed to moisture either. Cloth surrounds are very durable but foam surrounds are weakened by sunlight.
