What's the most unusual instrument you've ever played or want to play?

I've only played very common instruments (like the piano or the guitar) but I've always wanted to mess around with a theremin.

A theremin would be fun but I've never had the opportunity to try one either.

The oddest instrument I've used was a set of bird whistles. They were all strangely shaped but replicated the sounds of different bird calls.

I had to look up theremins, they do seem very interesting. I can't believe I'd never heard of them before.

I'd be interested in trying a more unusual keyboard instrument like a harpsichord. I've always wanted to try playing a violin too, although that's not exactly an unusual instrument.

Led Zeppelin used a theremin in the songs "Whole Lotta Love" and "No Quarter". It makes an eerie whine sort of sound.

I've heard those songs a million times, Wayne, and didn't even realize that I was hearing a theremin. Embarassed

Damon, it's true that violins aren't unusual, but they are a beautiful instrument. It sounds like a cat squawking when I mess around with one though. Laughing
