Need some clarification please.

When using a DH rectifier like a 5Y3GT, the power trannies secondary leads go to pins 4 and 6 with the PT's center tap grounded? Then the 5V filament leads go to pins 2 and 8, with the B+ connection to the first filter cap coming off of pin 8 or the B+ connection coming from the center tap of the 5V winding if it has a center tap (with the two main heater leads still at pin 2 and 8)?

Yes, you are correct. If your heater winding has a CT, you can tap your B+ from it.

I use pin 8, then if I want to switch to an indirectly heated rectifier you have a direct connection to the cathode…John
