Have any of you tried these kits? I'm looking at the Oddblock for my spouse, I think he might enjoy this kind of project. I'd love to hear if it's worth it.

Hi, Check the various threads on diyaudioprojects.com. Also look at the projects in the tube forum. A review of the Poddwatt was done a few months ago by "Make" magazine (a diy publication). They gave it their highest rating. It is also written up in their current 175 best kits.

Please remember that the Oddblock is a single channel amplifier. You need two for stereo as well as a preamp or some means of selecting input sources and controlling the volume. If you don't need a lot of power the Poddwatt is a stereo amplifier with volume control and source switching. Smile
