My parents still have a huge collection of albums, so I would like to get them a turntable (they haven't had one in years). Do you have any recommendations?

I would recommend Rega or VPI. The Regas are a little more affordable. Another turntable I personally like a lot is the Technics SL-1200. It's a direct drive unit and I think highly of it.
