Does anyone here have any experience with speakers for a motorcycle? My brother just got a bike, and he wants to add speakers. I've never had a motorcycle so I'm not sure where he should begin looking.

Hi, I Suspect that ones for "marine" use would be fine. A MC dealer could probably set you up, but most likely at a premium price a boating shop or place like Bass Boats, Cabellas etc might be a lot less costly.

Good Listening

Motorcycle speakers are pretty much worthless, except at stoplights. That said, your choices are largely determined by your fairing. Be sure to check the size required. Once you know the size, you can pick a speaker for it. They're usually the same as car speakers, or like Bruce said, marine speakers. It's more about size than anything else. So definitely, check the fairing. Might even ask the manufacturer of the fairing, to be sure the speaker you choose will fit.

To be honest Wayne, I thought it was a rather odd thing to do too, since motorcycles are so loud. That being said, I appreciate the advice from you and Bruce. I'll give my brother a call and let him know how he should approach this. Then maybe he can enjoy his music at stoplights. Razz
