Hey Wayne
Just curious will the fiberglass insulation get blown around from the base. And could it damage the drivers. A guy at work thought that it might. It is abrasive.

No. The size of the fibers is much smaller than the size of the gap. It isn't magnetic, so on the off chance that some goes in there, it would just blow out. But the truth is, after you build the speakers (and aren't disturbing the fiberglass anymore) it pretty much stays put.
