I have a friend that wants me to record him playing along to one of those electric tanpuras, but I have no idea what the best way to do that would be as it does not have a specific output, just a rotten little speaker on the side of the box. I tried micing it up with an SM57, but that sounded horrid. Either I need to mic it differently or he needs to go get one with a balanced output of some sort. Help, please...
